Description
Elegant and charming fragrance / 1.7 oz
Ellis Brooklyn Fable is a chic floral fragrance created by Bee Shapiro, a beauty and style writer for The New York Times, Vogue, and others, and Jerome Epinette, the genius behind Byredo. Like all Ellis Brooklyn fragrances, it's free of endocrine-disrupting phthalates and parabens, but far more sophisticated than the typical essential-oil fragrances that are typically the only option if you're avoiding such questionable ingredients.
And Fable is — we'll admit it — our favorite of them all. It's an elegant, charming, chic floral, featuring top notes of neroli and black currant, that's inspired by the Aesop fable. As Bee puts it, "Set in the forests of Arcadia, this elegant orange blossom scent is roused by the first meeting of Androcles and the Lion. The gorgeous initial bloom plays with dewy violet, petitgrain and honeysuckle before being rounded by the warmth of crisp amber and cedarwood. The moral of the famous Aesop fable is kindness—Androcles removes a thorn from the lion’s paw—a notion as lovely as the fragrance."
The phthalate-free fragrance, made in small batches in New York, is housed in an environmentally-friendly glass bottle from an Ecocert supplier; the biodegradable Bakelite compression cap is petrochemical-free.
